AHOY, MATEYS!! For our next season, we are hitting the high seas for OUTVIVOR: Tides of Pride.  OUTVIVOR is inspired by the reality tv show, Survivor, but with our own unique twists and turns. We will be returning to Camp Geneva, located in Fruitland Park, FL - one hour away from Downtown Orlando and an hour from Tampa. OUTVIVOR is a fun "glamping" getaway in the woods and an organized, action-packed, fun-filled competition! OUTVIVOR is designed to test your competitive drive, social skills and strategic-thinking ability all while meeting other members of the Central Florida LGBTQ+ community and beyond.

Do you have what it takes to OUTGAY, OUTSLAY and OUTSPORT? Battling through challenges, backstabbing, and against the elements we will see who has what it takes to be named OUT Sports League’s 5th OUTVIVOR. The winner will not only be granted bragging rights, but will win a prize package which will include 1 FREE OUT SPORTS LEAGUE REGISTRATION for an upcoming season.

Thank you to our Sponsors!

Payment plan options are available ($50 deposit to reserve your space)

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

  • 3 nights of lodging (Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening) in cabins (Full electricity, bathrooms and A/C).
  • All meals from the time of arrival including snacks and beverages throughout the day.
  • All supplies and materials for challenges and gameplay.
  • An unforgettable experience and the opportunity to make new friends!

NEW SEASON, NEW TWIST

  • This season will be more closely aligned with a traditional survivor format, but with a major twist.  We will be introducing a new game mechanic that will challenge our contestants like never before!
  • In the first phase of the game ("Tribal phase"), contestants will compete as a part of a tribe with a goal of winning immunity.  Tribes that are not immune will go to Tribal council and must vote someone off.
    • Players that are voted off will still be actively competing in the game during the tribal portion.  How you may ask?  Well, you wouldn't want us to spoil all of the fun now, would you?
    • By the end of the Tribal Phase, there will be an opportunity for players that have been eliminated to re-enter the game. All hope is not lost!
  • In the second phase of the game ("Individual phase"), contestants will compete as individuals in a high-paced, cut-throat fight to the end to see who can claim the crown and the title of Sole OUTVIVOR!
    • Players that do not advance to the Individual Phase or are eliminated during this phase will form our jury.
    • Jury members are welcome to observe challenges and tribals, but will also have the option to participate in Ponderosa activities (see below for more info).

NEW FOR SEASON 5

  • Cabin Decorating Competition
    • We want to see you turn your cabins into quarters worthy of a captain!  On the first night we invite all of the cabins to spend some time decorating their front porch.  The cabin that is best decorated (as decided by the production crew) will win a special prize!
  • Ponderosa Experience
    • Once players join the jury they will have the option to relax and unwind from the game or to continue observing challenges and tribal councils.  On Sunday we will have a list of planned activities for our jury members to take part in.  Including our Post-Game, Pre-Game!
  • Catered Dinners
    • We will be ordering catering for dinner each night! For convenience, our breakfast and lunches will be provided by the camp in their dining hall.  We have not yet booked dinners, but will communicate that information when we have it.

FAQs

  • How will the gameplay work?
    • We will reveal additional details as we approach the event.  The game format draws on inspiration from a variety of competition programs.  The main source of inspiration is Survivor with additional elements coming from other reality tv competitions.
  • Will there be any down time?
    • There will be moments of down time, but the weekend will be action-packed. So come prepared to play! If you do not move on to the individual phase of the game, you will have some additional time sunday afternoon/evening to observe the game and enjoy the amenities of camp. Plus, you will have the responsibility of being a jury member and casting your vote for the person that you believe should take home the title of Sole OUTVIVOR!
  • Do I need to go with a group or can I come solo?
    • All are welcome!!! We've had all sorts of contestants from solo super-fans, to couples to groups of friends. By design, you will be forced to meet and interact with other people.
  • Will there be any required swimming?
    • Everyone should bring a bathing suit with them as there will be challenges in which everyone will get wet. There will be opportunities where swimming will be incorporated into tribal challenges, but only by a select few tribe members.  If you are not comfortable swimming, you will not need to swim.

Arrival - Friday September 4th

  • Participants can begin to arrive at Camp at 6 p.m.
  • We ask that all participants try to arrive no later than 8 p.m.
  • On Friday evening we will kick things off with Blackbeard's Booty Ball.

Gameplay - Saturday & Sunday September 5th & 6th

  • We will reveal more information as it becomes available.
  • Players should expect to participate in every challenge on Saturday.
  • Once you are eliminated from the game on Sunday, you will have the choice to continue observing the game or participate in any Ponderosa activities.
  • Final Tribal Council will occur on Sunday evening.  All players (except Finalists) will have the opportunity to cast a vote for the person that they think deserves to win.

Departure - Monday September 7th

  • On Monday you can depart at any time in the morning.  Your cabin must be checked prior to your departure.
  • Camp needs to be broken down and cleaned out by noon.

ACCOMODATIONS (https://campgeneva.net/accommodations/)

  • Our host will be Camp Geneva (36540 Vía Marcia, Fruitland Park, FL 34731). Located about one hour from downtown Orlando in Lake County (towards Ocala)
  • We will be staying in "The Hideway" section of the camp.
  • All participants will stay in cabins. These cabins have electricity, heat/AC and a full bathroom.
  • We've been asked by the campground to put 6 people per cabin (They sleep 12).
    • In the event you would like to have more than 6 people in your cabin, we recommend no more than 8 people total
    • Pillows, Sheets and Towels will not be provided. You will need to provide your own comforts (so it's up to you how much of a true "survivor experience" you want).
    • Participants will be able to group themselves. Any group with less than 6 may be added to another group in order for us to maximize cabin space.
      • We will send out a Bunking Survey in late July. This survey will allow you to identify who you would like to room with or to match you with appropriate bunkmates.
      • We will not be able to accommodate any early Arrivals or late departures
      • For those that are flying-in from out of town, please reach out to outvivor@gmail.com if you need help coordinating a ride to/from Camp.  It's a bit far from the airport and we're happy to see if anyone is able to offer help.
